Publication Ethics
The Al-Turath Journal of Scientific Reviews (ATJSR) is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct throughout the publication process. The journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members to follow internationally recognized principles of responsible scholarly publishing and research integrity. Authors must submit original scholarly work that has not been published previously in substantially the same form and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal. All sources must be appropriately acknowledged, and authors must accurately represent the scientific literature. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling, citation manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and improper authorship are considered violations of publication ethics. All individuals listed as authors must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the manuscript and must approve the final version submitted for publication. Guest authorship, honorary authorship, purchased authorship, ghost authorship, or omission of individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions is unacceptable.
Editors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated fairly and exclusively on their scientific quality, originality of synthesis, relevance, methodological rigor, and conformity with journal policies. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by commercial, institutional, political, personal, or other inappropriate considerations.
Reviewers are required to treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal, professional, or competitive advantage. Editors and reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and withdraw from the evaluation process when impartiality cannot reasonably be maintained. When credible concerns regarding research or publication misconduct arise, the journal will investigate the matter in a fair and confidential manner. Depending on the circumstances, appropriate actions may include requesting clarification, rejecting a manuscript, publishing a correction, issuing an expression of concern, retracting an article, or contacting relevant institutions or authorities when justified.
The journal is committed to correcting the scholarly record when significant errors or ethical problems are identified after publication.
