Author Guidelines and Article Structure

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Al-Turath Journal of Scientific Reviews (ATJSR) should ensure that their work is scientifically rigorous, clearly written in English, appropriately structured, and consistent with the scope of the journal. Manuscripts should present a critical synthesis of the scientific literature and should not merely reproduce or summarize previously published information.

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the review. The title page should include the full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, corresponding author information, and ORCID identifiers where available. An informative abstract should summarize the background, purpose, approach, major findings or themes, and principal conclusions of the review. Authors should also provide appropriate keywords that accurately represent the principal subjects of the manuscript.

The main body of the article should be organized logically using clearly numbered headings and subheadings. Depending on the type of review, appropriate sections may include an introduction, review methodology or literature-search strategy, thematic sections, critical synthesis of evidence, discussion, limitations, future perspectives, and conclusions. Systematic and scoping reviews must provide sufficient methodological detail to allow readers to understand how the evidence was identified, selected, evaluated, and synthesized.

Tables and figures should be used when they improve the scientific presentation of the article. They should be cited sequentially in the text and positioned near their first relevant citation whenever possible. Figures must be clear and of sufficient quality for publication, while tables should present information concisely without unnecessarily duplicating material already described in the text.

ATJSR uses the APA 7th Edition author–date referencing system. In-text citations should identify the author and year, such as Smith (2024) or (Smith, 2024). References with three or more authors should normally be cited in the text using the first author's surname followed by et al. and the publication year. The reference list must be arranged alphabetically according to the surname of the first author. Digital Object Identifiers should be included in the standard DOI format whenever available.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references, data, tables, figures, statements, and declarations included in their manuscripts. Before submission, authors should ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal's ethical, authorship, conflict-of-interest, originality, and reporting requirements.
