Aim & Scope
The Al-Turath Journal of Scientific Reviews (ATJSR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated exclusively to publishing high-quality review articles in the medical, biological, agricultural, environmental, and life sciences. The journal aims to provide a reliable platform for the critical synthesis of current scientific knowledge, evaluation of emerging evidence, identification of research gaps, and presentation of future directions in rapidly developing scientific fields.
ATJSR welcomes systematic reviews, meta-analyses, scoping reviews, narrative reviews, mini-reviews, umbrella reviews, and state-of-the-art reviews that provide substantial scientific value, methodological rigor, and a clear contribution to the advancement of knowledge.
Medical and Health Sciences
The journal publishes comprehensive reviews in medicine and health sciences, including clinical medicine, pathology, laboratory medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, immunology, microbiology, infectious diseases, public health, nutrition, reproductive health, endocrinology, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, and other areas relevant to human health and disease.
Physiology and Pathophysiology
ATJSR welcomes reviews addressing physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and systems levels. Areas of interest include cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, endocrine, reproductive, neurophysiology, musculoskeletal, metabolic, exercise, comparative, and environmental physiology, as well as mechanisms underlying disease development and progression.
Life and Biological Sciences
The journal covers major areas of the life sciences, including molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics, biotechnology, microbiology, immunobiology, developmental biology, anatomy, histology, molecular medicine, oxidative stress, cellular signaling, and other biological processes relevant to health, organisms, and ecosystems.
Plant Sciences and Plant Physiology
ATJSR publishes reviews focused on plant biology and physiology, including plant growth and development, photosynthesis, respiration, mineral nutrition, plant hormones, seed physiology, plant metabolism, plant–environment interactions, crop physiology, plant biotechnology, and physiological responses to biotic and abiotic stress.
Agricultural and Animal Sciences
The journal welcomes reviews covering agricultural science, crop production, soil–plant interactions, sustainable agriculture, animal physiology, animal nutrition, veterinary sciences, poultry science, livestock production, animal health, reproductive biology, and innovative approaches aimed at improving agricultural productivity and biological sustainability.
Environmental Sciences and Ecology
ATJSR considers reviews related to environmental biology, ecology, biodiversity, environmental health, pollution, ecotoxicology, climate change, ecosystem dynamics, conservation biology, environmental monitoring, soil and water quality, and the biological consequences of environmental change.
Sustainability and Environmental Health
The journal encourages interdisciplinary reviews addressing environmental sustainability, sustainable agriculture, ecosystem resilience, climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, pollution control, sustainable resource management, One Health, and the interactions among human, animal, plant, and environmental health.
Interdisciplinary Scientific Reviews
ATJSR particularly encourages reviews that integrate evidence across multiple scientific disciplines and provide a comprehensive understanding of complex biological, medical, agricultural, or environmental problems. Priority is given to manuscripts that critically evaluate recent advances, clarify scientific controversies, identify knowledge gaps, and propose meaningful directions for future research.
The journal does not primarily cover mathematics, pure engineering, business, economics, social sciences, or other disciplines unrelated to its core focus on medical, life, agricultural, plant, physiological, and environmental sciences.
Through rigorous peer review and adherence to recognized standards of research and publication ethics, the Al-Turath Journal of Scientific Reviews (ATJSR) seeks to become a trusted source of authoritative scientific synthesis and to support evidence-based research, education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
