Peer Review Policy

The Al-Turath Journal of Scientific Reviews (ATJSR) is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, independent, and confidential peer-review process. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are initially evaluated by the editorial office to determine whether they fall within the journal's scope, comply with submission requirements, meet minimum standards of scientific quality, and adhere to publication ethics.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are subjected to double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process. Suitable manuscripts are normally evaluated by independent experts with appropriate knowledge of the subject area. Reviewers are asked to assess the scientific importance of the topic, comprehensiveness of the literature, methodological quality, accuracy of interpretation, critical depth, originality of synthesis, clarity of presentation, and relevance of the conclusions. Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based evaluations. Personal criticism, discriminatory comments, or recommendations influenced by non-scientific considerations are not acceptable. Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts and must disclose any financial, professional, academic, institutional, or personal conflict of interest that could compromise their impartiality.

Following peer review, a manuscript may be accepted, returned for minor revision, returned for major revision, or rejected. The final editorial decision remains the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief or the designated handling editor and is based on the reviewers' reports, the scientific quality of the manuscript, ethical considerations, and its suitability for the journal.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers when further expert evaluation is required. The journal reserves the right to seek additional reviews when reviewer opinions differ substantially or when specialized expertise is needed.
