Aim & Scope
The Al-Turath Journal of Physiology welcomes research papers in all fields of physiology and pathophysiology. We especially encourage submissions with a clinical or translational focus to enhance our understanding of physiology's role in health and disease. Authors are invited to present original work that reveals new physiological principles, mechanisms, or premises.
We accept studies at various levels, including molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and systems physiology. Research utilizing lower vertebrate or invertebrate models, provided it contributes to our understanding of mammalian physiology. Theoretical papers and those employing computational models will be considered if they are based on experimental data and present hypotheses amenable to experimental testing.
Al-Turath Journal of Physiology publishes the following categories of papers:
- Research Articles: Full-length original studies.
- Techniques for Physiology: Short papers on new techniques for physiological research.
- Perspectives, Symposium Reviews, and Topical Reviews: Solicited articles highlighting significant areas of interest.
- Opinion Articles: Timely commentary on current or controversial topics in physiology.
- Letters to the Editor and Journal Club Articles: Brief communications on relevant topics.
All submitted papers undergo peer review.
